Obsidian Visions By Christian Freeman
"My Vision, Is Your World.."
Anyone who is Goth will understand this piece. Expressing the full spectrum of darkness, from beautiful to terrifying, and marrying them in a harmonious state, is the essence of true Goth culture.
In the Ancient Egyptian language, the tongue of my religion, "Nefer" was given to women of high regard, mostly Goddesses. This was a piece I created for a woman who is no longer with me, yet showed me the potential in a woman's inner beauty.
An oldie of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy XII. Can you believe I was 14 when I drew this?!
This is a piece I've recently finished and it took me a while as I needed to "age" the paper so that it looked like it was drawn a very long time ago. Ma'at being the goddess whose feather Osiris weights your heart against in judgement, she is in essence the one who holds darkness at bay, less you be judged unworthy. In light of her infinite importance in my religion and her duty within it, I wanted to convey a beautiful sense of duty and cold resolve.
